Next Stop: Lampivaara Amethyst Mine

Transfers by car and special “Pendolino” – wagon pulled by a snow cat. Tour includes transfers, visit to Amethyst Mine, warm beverage. Pendolino will take you to the top of Lampivaara fell (small mountain) where you can enjoy the very top view.

A warm ride to the Lampivaara Amethyst mine on top of Lampivaara fell. This mine is one of the few that welcomes visitors all year round.
In Snowy times we will have transportation with pendolino - snow train and summer time we have easy drive with car to the mine area.
When we are close the mine we have small stairs to climb to the mine area. At the top you will have information about Amethyst, geologic history and the area. Then we head to the mining area. No machinery is used to dig up the gemstones, which allows us to search for our own. A visit filled with history and the thrill of a search!
Winter Clothing

Winter clothing is not included in this experience. If you need warm clothes and shoes, make sure to add it separately during reservation process. The warm winter clothing and shoes will be given before heading to experience.

When you do not need a pick up, meet us at Ukko-Luoston parking lot,
but if you need overalls you need to pick them up from our office from Luosto or Pyhätunturi.
