On this fascinating safari, you get to ride on a snowmobile track and follow it through snow-covered nature to a local reindeer farm. Here you are introduced to reindeer husbandry – an important livelihood in Lapland. At the farm, the reindeer herder has carefully selected a group of reindeer trained for sleigh pulling. Enjoy a short trial of a traditional way of travelling through snowy forests. To keep you warm and going, soothing coffee or tea will be served at the farm. After the coffee break, you'll return to the Safari House by snowmobile.
Thermal outfit, guidance in English, 2 persons / snowmobile, fuel, traffic insurance (maximum personal liability €980), reindeer farm visit, reindeer sleigh ride, snack by the fire, hot beverage, information about reindeer and reindeer herding.

Our programmes, especially snowmobile and reindeer excursions can be physically demanding and participants may be exposed to different kinds of physical strain, vibration or carbon monoxide. Therefore, in order to avoid any complications and to guarantee the safety of all participants, snowmobile programmes are not suitable for pregnant women due to vibrations of uneven tracks and the exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles.

Each snowmobile is shared by two guests taking turns in driving. The driver of the snowmobile has to be at least 18 years of age with a driver’s license valid in Finland. Driving a motorized vehicle under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating drugs is prohibited by the laws of Finland.
Child price entitles children to a seat in a sled pulled by a snowmobile driven by the guide. Children over 140 cm in height are allowed to sit on the snowmobile behind an adult, when paying the adult price. Children under 2 years are not recommended to take part on snowmobile safaris. Lapland Safaris Ltd reserves the right to deny the participation of small children due to safety reasons (e.g. demanding weather or trail conditions).
This safari is co2 compensated from the snowmobile fuel emission.
Self liability can be reduced to €150 by paying waiver supplement €20 per safari driver.
Solo riding possibility. Supplement €50 / person.
This programme includes a snack, so please advise on any special diets or food allergies in advance.
Please take your driving license with you on the snowmobile safari as the police may check the validity of the license during the safari.
Please notice that the meeting/pick-up times for the excursion vary depending on the meeting/pick-up point you have chosen, so we kindly ask you to check carefully the correct time from your ticket attached to the confirmation e-mail.
8 days or more before the excursion departure: cancellation fee 25,00 eur
7 days or less before the excursion departure or no show: 100% of the value of the Order Confirmation
