This coming winter, SnowVillage celebrates its 25-year journey around the theme One big celebration. - Pure celebration is visible this year in the form of circuses, festivals, and other international celebrations. SnowVillage will feature a carnival, a Rio de Janeiro carnival area, and an Ice Bar dressed in the green hues of Ireland.
SnowVillage is a unique icy complex of about two hectares, with over 20 million kilograms of snow and about 300,000 kilograms of crystal-clear natural ice used in its construction every year. The theme changes annually and is announced in the autumn.
SnowVillage is open daily from 25.12.2025 to 6.4.2026 from 10 am to 10 pm.
A magical world of ice and snow
Lapland Hotels SnowVillage covers an area of approximately 4000 square meters. Around 45 000 cubic meters of snow and 400 000 kilos of crystal clear natural ice are used annually in the construction of the breathtaking SnowVillage. Each year, the architectural design and the theme of the interior decorations vary offering a unique experience to guests year after year.
New theme every year
Our annual ice exhibition offers a diverse experience of enchanting snow and ice art, a unique ice bar, and an exciting ice and snow-built cinema. And let's not forget the favorite of children and adults: the ice slide!
The SnowVillage is the perfect winter attraction no matter the weather. The temperature stays at a cool 0 - -5 degrees celsius inside. The SnowVillage also has a warm Log restaurant and a souvenir shop.
Location
The SnowVillage is situated in the Western part of Finnish Lapland, in Lainio, near to Ylläs and Levi ski-resorts and easily reachable from Kittilä airport.
